Stephen Lovett

Stephen graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce in 1998 triple-concentrating in Marketing, Management and Finance. After graduating, he worked as a Product Planner at General Motors then advanced through a variety of product marketing roles. He left General Motors to serve as the Director of Marketing for a major research firm and health care firm. During this time, Stephen also began investing in real estate and growing his portfolio. In 2016, he decided to retire from corporate employment and is now a full-time residential real estate investor.
Lovett Properties and Poseidon Capital operate in the Metro-Detroit region. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Real Estate Investors Association of Oakland County. He has also served on boards of a variety of community organizations with missions spanning from homeless youth to equal rights.
Stephen enjoys many passions such as travel and the great outdoors. At UVA, he learned to row and now competes on the national and international levels as an oarsman for the oldest boat club in North America, Detroit Boat Club Crew, which has been operating since 1839.
