Lytle W. Smith

Lytle (Wurtzel) Smith is a Director of Asset Management for Ventas, Inc., an S&P 500 company and real estate investment trust that owns approximately 1,200 healthcare, life science and senior living properties. Lytle oversees a seniors housing portfolio of ~200 properties that generate $400 million net operating income (NOI) annually. Prior to joining Ventas in 2013, Lytle was an Associate at Arsenal Venture Partners, a defense-focused venture capital firm, and a financial analyst for CNL, a real estate investment company in Orlando, FL. Lytle began her career at Bank of America Securities, in the High Yield Trading group, in New York City. Lytle received her B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia in 2004 and her M.B.A. from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL in 2011. Lytle currently serves on the Executive Board for the Urban Land Institute (ULI) Women’s Leadership Initiative. She and her husband Brian reside in Chicago with their two children, daughter Lillian Grace (age 3) and son Rallis James (6 months).
