After graduate school in urban planning, Caroline became a planner for a real estate law firm, working with engineers, architects, developers, and city officials to design and approve new mixed-use, residential, and office buildings in Alexandria and Arlington, Virginia. She oversees the implementation of city and county policies regarding affordable housing, sustainability, and transit-oriented development that further the long-term goals of the jurisdiction and move the developers closer to ribbon cuttings. Caroline is currently raising money to go on a 500 mile bike trip in the Pacific Northwest through Bike & Build, an organization that combines Habitat for Humanity-type builds and affordable housing awareness.
