Sonya Mitchell Hand graduated from the McIntire School of Commerce in 1996. She is an executive with Skayl, a start-up tech company headquartered in Maryland. She leads strategy and marketing efforts for the start-up, promoting advanced integration of large systems for NATO, the Department of Defense, international smart cities, autonomous vehicles, medical tech, energy and public safety industries. In her “spare time” she’s an adjunct professor at the local college, volunteers on non-profit boards involved with tech, education and kids and is raising three amazing kids of her own who are growing up way too fast!
